Question: What is Part C of the Barton Student Screening?
Answer: The Barton Student Screening is a tool designed to find out if a student has the skills needed to begin the Barton Reading & Spelling System. Part C checks for significant difficulty with auditory discrimination, auditory memory size, and auditory sequencing.
If a student cannot pass Part C, they are not ready for the Barton System.
Susan Barton recommends Foundation in Sounds™ for students who cannot pass Part C.
Once your student has successfully completed all 12 lessons in Foundation in Sounds™, your student will be able to pass Part C.
